The Colorado Department of Revenue offers an All-Day Business Tax Symposium in Denver

Are you a business owner in Colorado, an out-of-state business selling/delivering tangible property to purchasers located in Colorado, or are you just interested in learning more about sales/use tax laws in Colorado? Do you prepare sales and/or use tax returns for business owners in Colorado? If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, you won’t want to miss this one-day tax symposium. Representatives from several home-rule cities and the state combine forces to provide information surrounding tax laws applicable to their jurisdictions. Even if you are not physically located in these jurisdictions, you may be establishing a nexus, or business presence in these jurisdictions, which means you might be required to collect the local taxes on sales transactions.

At this symposium, you will be able to attend many local home-rule city sessions in addition to a state session covering some of the myths and new legislation passed recently on this topic. There will even be session at the end to ask questions of all speakers. Finally, you won't want to miss the General Session, as Roxy Huber, Executive Director at the Department of Revenue, will discuss the new and exciting services currently offered at the Department in addition to the electronic services scheduled to roll out soon.
