In general, if property is acquired for use in a business or another income-producing activity and is expected to last more than one year, taxpayers cannot deduct the entire cost as a business expense in the year it was acquired. They must depreciate the cost over the property's useful life (as defined by the Internal Revenue Code) and deduct part of the cost each year on the Form 4562, Depreciation and Amortization. This will be the fourth year of the Aurora Chamber of Commerce
Front -Range Small Business Showcase. In its inaugural year, there were 700+ attendees. There are 60 available small business booths this year.
This event will host acquistion personnel and end-users from Buckley AFB, its 40+ tenant agencies, federal agencies throughout the Front Range, state agencies and local government personnel.
Training will be conducted by the Small Business Adminsistration, the GSA, the State of Colorado Department of Personnel and Administration, the Aurora Business Development Center and various federal and state agencies.
Training topics will include 8(a) program, HUBZones, GSA Schedules,
E-Buy, the Government Purchase Card, State of Colorado purchasing policies and more.
