Original Aurora Starts Farmers Market
Focused on Local Businesses |
Summer and early fall are perfect seasons for visiting farmers' markets. Experiencing food at its finest can encourage even the pickiest eater to try a few bites. When it comes to fresh fruits and vegetables, the market is the perfect place to locate some fabulous food finds for everyone in the family!
The Farmers market is each Saturday morning (9:00a.m.) at Fletchers Plaza in Downtown Aurora.
Benefits of shopping at the Farmers' Market
- The fruits and vegetables are grown locally and picked when perfectly ripened. This enhances the taste, texture, and aroma of the produce.
- Often, market prices are lower than at grocery stores.
- Shopping at the Farmers' Market benefits the local business and strengthens your local community.
For more info or how you could be a part of this market contact the Northern Aurora Business Association.
Hey, make it a Saturday night and enjoy "Flicks on the FAX" a FREE outdoor movie at the same location on Saturday as well.

City Gives Life to Ghost Trolley Sculpture |
| In 1898, Aurora's founder, Donald Fletcher, built a trolley line to connect his tiny town with thriving Denver. On June 29 the |
 |
"ghost trolley" arrived in Original Aurora. This new public art is located in the median of East Colfax Avenue in front of the new Martin Luther King Jr. Library. Renowned Colorado artist Lawrence Argent created this 10-foot by 20-foot by 2- foot sculpture depicting a single trolley car. It will connect the past, present and future with the simple imagery of the vanished, but not forgotten trolley. |

Our Business Resource Center Works for You! |
|
Why bother with research? If you've ever developed a business concept you know the answer to this question!
Trying to start a small business without researching your potential market is like a kite without a string.
But research isn't just something you do one time when you're planning a new business. Research needs to be a continuous part of your business' strategy. Customers, competition and your industry is always changing.
As an example it's vital to analyze your customers, the market and competition before you waste money on advertising that won't get you the results you want. Research is also critical before you spend time and money developing a new product or service.
The Aurora Business Resource Center (BRC) has both in-library and virtual research resources (link) and you're only a library card away from them.
Contact the BRC now to learn more about our great resources!
