HELGA ROCKS OKTOBERFEST 2011
Live Music, Great Food, Beer & Games
Helga's German Restaurant will host Oktoberfest on October 7th, 8th & 9th, located at 14197 E. Exposition Ave., just south of the Town Center at Aurora. Besides great German food, live music and dancing, the festival will also feature a German-engineered car show, the inaugural Keg Tapping Ceremony and Wine Tasting, and European cultural demonstrations.
Bier Game Competition -- limited to 20 teams of 5 persons each @ $40 per person. Price includes all BIER for the games, team T-Shirt and VIP seating.

Steps To Fresh Produce
The city of Aurora has made a call for applications for a grant to qualifying businesses to supply fresh food options in targeted areas of the city where fresh produce is limited or not currently available within a 0.75-mile walking distance. The goal of this grant is, by the end of 2012, to introduce to targeted areas of the city at least 250 sq ft of new, dedicated floor space to a wide variety of fresh fruits and vegetables.
A letter of interest must be submitted by Oct. 28, 2011. Based on review of the letters of interest, businesses will be invited to formally apply and will be required to submit supplementary information, including a detailed financial plan, financial statements and tax returns. Business licenses of all applicants will be verified.
