Celebrate Independence Day in Aurora, Colorado
Fourth of July Spectacular
Family, friends, food, fine music, fireworks and fun all go together at this year’s Fourth of July Spectacular, Sunday, July 4.
Hear live performances by the Fort Carson U.S. Army Ivy Bands, featuring the High Altitude Rock Band and Concert Band. The Fourth of July Spectacular takes place on the great lawn on the west side of the Aurora Municipal Center. The concert begins at 6:00 PM.
The metro-area’s largest fireworks display begins at 9:30 PM. Don’t forget to tune your radios to Studio 1430 KEZW, our radio partner, for a patriotic simulcast. The Fourth of July Spectacular is produced by the city of Aurora and presented by Arapahoe County.

Aurora’s ninth annual Independence Day Celebration, features the largest fireworks display in the metro area and a performance by the U.S. Army Band from Ft. Carson. This huge fireworks display (25 minutes) will be accompanied with patriotic simulcast provided by KEZW radio. Limited seating is available on the Aurora Municipal Center lawn. Estimated attendance is 4,000 in the lawn seating and 100,000 viewing the fireworks display from surrounding neighborhoods and parking lots.
The fireworks also may be viewed from surrounding areas. Best viewing locations include east of Potomac Street, south of Sixth Avenue, north of Mississippi Avenue and west of Buckley Road.
