Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) |
The DBE Program is required by Congress as a condition of receiving federal funds and is also provided policy and direction by the Transportation Commission. It provides assistance to minorities, women and other socially and economically disadvantaged individuals to enter the highway construction and design industries. There is helpful information at the US Dept. of Transportation Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business and CDOT. Learn about the certification process and the BIDS program for the DBE and Emerging Small Business (ESB) at the State's web site. Additionally, the City of Aurora has a Small Business Enterprise program, which applies to most services and goods the city purchases, not just construction services.

HIRE Act - Small Business Tax Incentives |
