With over thirty-eight years in public education, artist Ad Lopez has retired from the education profession, but now designs pieces of sterling silver and semi-precious stones.
While working on his Masters Degree at Colorado State University, Ad taught a graduate course in casting and fabricating precious metals. Most recently he has refined his fabricating skills at the Instituto Allende, the famous art institute in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico.
His creations express his study of design and the passion for his Hispanic and Native American cultures. His Santa Fe Style designs are unique and distinct.
Ad Lopez Originals is located in the East End Arts District. His studio is at 1556 Florence Street in Original Aurora, one block east and north of the Aurora Fox Arts Center.
In an effort to grow his business, Ad is working with the Small Business Specialists and taking seminars at the Aurora Business Development Center. |

New, Free On-Line Training Offered by the SBA
|
The SBA offers a variety of online courses to assist small businesses in more effectively managing their firms in the current economy. The new course topics are available directly at:

Training includes revising business plans to reposition with current conditions, winning customers in a slowing economy, restructuring existing debt and diversifying your customer base with federal contracts.
The most recently added course is “Downshifting in a Slowing Economy: A Business Planning Guide.” This course is designed to help business owners reorganize and streamline their business strategies. In less than 90 days, the Social Security Administration will no longer verify SS number by telephone. You will be able to verify 10 names and social security numbers at a time online at the following link:
https://secure.ssa.gov/acu/IRESWeb/registration.jsp
However, to use the Social Security Number Verification Service (SSNVS) you must register. If an employee is screening SS numbers, the employee must register and have the following information available:
- Type of employer/employee
- Company EIN
- Company or business name
- Company phone number
- Indication if you are a third-party submitter registering to do business on behalf of another company
- Name as it appears on your Social Security card
- Social Security Number (SSN)
- Date of birth
- Your preferred mailing address
- Work phone number
- Fax number (optional)
- E-mail address
